The 7-Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course provides an overview of the 2018-19 USPAP, which goes into effect on January 1, 2018. It focuses on changes to USPAP for 2018-19 and on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice. The underlying theme is USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers. Discussion will focus on specific USPAP revisions and give you the opportunity to apply this information through case studies and a review of frequently asked questions. The course will clarify several commonly misunderstood aspects of USPAP.
Illinois law requires that “A real estate appraiser must complete the 7-hour National USPAP Update Course or its equivalent by June 30 of an even-numbered year, following the release of USPAP.”
Contact Hours: 7 hours Classes on both days begin at 8 a.m.
This course qualifies for 7 hours of continuing education for appraisers with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s Appraisal Division and the ASFMRA.
