Schnitkey Briefs Media at Farm Progress Show

ISPFMRA Secretary/Treasurer Gary Schnitkey, Ph. D., University of Illinois, briefed media on the Chapter's Mid-Year Snapshot Survey of Illinois Land Values at the Farm Progress Show on Wednesday, Aug. 30. Schnitkey reviewed the findings of the survey and then talked with reporters/broadcasters separately following his presentation.

Land Values Report Gets International Exposure

Not only is the annual Illinois Land  Values and Lease Trends Report regularly distributed in over 12 states, it now has international exposure thanks to Tom Wiggins, AFM (right) with Busey Agricultural Resources, LeRoy. Here he is presenting a copy of the 2006 Report to Allan Harvey of National Australia Bank, Melbourne, Australia. Harvey was part of a group of four bankers visiting the United States and Canada and comparing agricultural business functions. The visit to Busey Bank LeRoy involved discussions on small community ag lending, farm management, an real estate sales.
